Amongst the Roses

Don't you love floral patterns? Spring is the perfect time to dust off those brightly colored frocks and share them with the world! I choose this rosette dress to strut at Awards Night at school. Personally, I love this kelly and turquoise print, done by Tommy Hilfiger, for its versatility. Not only does it work well with a casual pair of Jacks, but also, a classic heel. For the formality of the Awards Night, I choose my hot pink Kate Spade heels to incorporate another fresh, spring color into my ensemble. To top the look off, I matched my lip color to the vibrant pink of the heels.

Not only was the night a success in the fashion world, but also I walked away with a scholar award!

She's a Fox

As a Lilly lover, I could not wait to wear my newest addition to my personal Lilly collection. After viewing the 2014 Lilly Spring Collection, I was in love with the menagerie of colorful patterns and prints (as usual). My personal favorite is "She's a Fox." Not only does it fit excellently with my last name, but the print itself embodies everything spring. Surely, my Buttercup Scallop Hem Shorts will become a staple item for the rest of spring and summer.

Easter in the North

Although my family is one for tradition, this year we ventured northward to visit my lacrosse playing brother in Philly this Easter. Easter, not only is a time of celebrating Jesus' resurrection, has developed into a full-fledged family fellowship holiday, full of egg-dying and ham baking. This unconventional year served as an opportunity to celebrate in a completely different way.
I was quite surprised to step off the plane and not be frozen to the bone.  Native to Florida, the cold and I tend to not get along. And seeing how the 2014 massive winter storm invaded and made a home for itself up north, I was fearful of a frosty experience. However, this past winter's seemingly endless polar vortex transformed into a glorious sixty degree weekend, which provided the perfect weather for watching a lacrosse game. But still, I found myself shivering.
Even though the holiday was not filled with homemade desserts, or colored eggs, we managed to make a weekend of it. We met my brother's friends, attended his lacrosse game, and dined in some fabulous restaurants. Overall, it was a successful weekend.
