Seaing Seashells

My one goal on this trip to Palm Island: get a family picture. For some strange reason, my family never gets a picture with all of us in it. Palm Island has the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen, which would be the perfect backdrop. So, determined to make the perfect family portrait, I packed outfits and everything for my mom, dad, and brother. For myself, I brought along this Vineyard Vines shift dress I just ordered from their latest sale. When it arrived in the mail, I feel in love.

So, our family portrait quest began right after dinner. My father insisted on going to one of the many docks to retrieve his fishing net before we set out to the beach. However, while going way way out of the way to retrieve the fishing net, I noticed the golf cart was not only dying, but the power gage was past E. Naturally, I panicked. My family picture that I was so determined to take would be ruined because we would be stranded in a dead golf cart. On top of that, grey skies began rolling in.

Upon retrieving the net, we set out to back to our condo. Yes, we forfeited the idea of taking a picture. My new goal: make it back to the condo without having to walk in the rain. Our golf cart crawled the whole way back. We even made my brother get out and walk to try to go faster in the cart. By some miracle, though, we made it back to the condo without having to walk in the rain (well, except for my brother). Overall, it was a night to remember.
