Tips & Tricks: The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever

This is the recipe for my favorite chocolate chip cookies. I'm sure you've gone through a bunch of different cookie recipes and none of them have lived up to the name of the #1 chocolate chip cookie. I first learned about this fabulous cookie recipe when my best friend brought them to cheerleading practice. My first bite: I was in shock. Could this be the best chocolate chip cookie? By my third cookie, I was certain. What was her secret to these amazing cookies? Adding a cup of flour to one of the most famous cookie recipe there is. So, I present to you the modified Nestlé Toll House Cookie recipe! 


  • 3 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour 
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.)
  • Instructions: 
  • PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

    COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. 

    BAKE for 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
